Considering Vancouver as a location for your team building event?
Vancouver is a beautiful city located on the west coast of British Columbia. This city has a natural beauty filled with gardens, buildings, people and busy streets. There are many activities in this city, fun for everyone.
A favorite for families is Stanley Park, covering 1000 acres. This is one of the first parks ever made in Vancouver and is a must-see. This park comes complete with indoor and outdoor activities. Outside there is a smooth, paved sea wall path for biking, running, or walking. Near this path is a place to rent bicycles, one or two seats. There is also a Children’s Farmyard, a miniature train, an aquarium, a beach, and a water park. You can also try your luck on the 18 hole golf course, pitch and putt.
The Vancouver Aquarium is a wonderful facility and home to over 70,000 animals. It is the largest aquarium in Canada and animal viewing is open each day. The aquarium hosts daily aquatic shows with sea otters, beluga whales, dolphins and more. Highlights of this amazing attraction include: Viewing underwater Beluga whales; Educational dolphin show and feeding times; a Cinematic 4D Experience, an exciting activity packed with sensory effects like wind, lighting and scents; you can even join animal trainers to go behind-the-scenes for an added cost.
Robson Street, in the core of the city, is Vancouver’s most famous shopping zone. You can find everything here, for every shopping budget. Take a stroll along the many shops, and stop for lunch at one of the many restaurants. Hair studios, brand name stores, cosmetics, jewelry, and much more are all packed into a few blocks!
Another must-go-to is gas town, also known as the birthplace of Vancouver. This is located on the north-east corner of the city. It is filled with people who work with architecture, entertainment, design, media, art and design. This area has its own distintive look and characteristics. There are many things to check out in this part of the city, such as Grassy Jack. This statue was given its name by a man who sailed to the shores of Vancouver with a barrel of whiskey and built a saloon for the mill workers. Another thing to check out is the Steam clock- a clock powered by steam. This clock blows steam every hour and sounds the Westminster chimes.
Vancouver is of course full of meeting venues for every size of meeting. Seriously consider hosting your next team event in Vancouver, one of the most beautiful and active cities in the world.
